Home / Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel is used in construction, fencing, water systems, and outdoor structures due to its long lifespan and low maintenance. It is steel coated with a protective layer of zinc to prevent rust and corrosion. The most common method is hot-dip galvanizing, where the steel is cleaned and then dipped into molten zinc. This creates a strong, durable bond between the steel and the coating. The zinc acts as a barrier and also offers sacrificial protection, meaning it corrodes first, keeping the steel intact.
Zinc coating protects the steel from rust and environmental damage.
Withstands exposure to moisture, chemicals, and harsh weather.
Requires minimal upkeep once installed, even in outdoor settings.
Retains structural integrity under pressure and stress.
A consistent zinc layer ensures even protection across all surfaces.
Can be cut, welded, or formed without losing protective qualities.
Clean, smooth surface that can be painted or left as-is.
Produced to meet TBS and ISO specifications for quality and performance.
Galvanized steel pipes are widely used in fencing, water lines (non-drinking), greenhouse structures, and light construction. The zinc coating provides a protective barrier against moisture and chemical exposure.
Applications: Fencing, scaffolding, sheds, greenhouses, light frames
• Standard: TZS 107, ISO 65
• Sizes: ½" to 6"
• Thickness: 1.2mm to 4mm
• Length: 6 meters
• Coating: Hot-dip galvanized
Galvanized steel plates are flat sheets coated in zinc for added protection. They are used in ducting, panels, roofing supports, tanks, and general fabrication where corrosion resistance is needed.
Applications: Panels, containers, ducts, protective linings, brackets
• Thickness: 0.5mm to 3mm
• Width: Up to 1250mm
• Length: Custom or standard sheets
• Coating: Hot-dip zinc coating
